Tomatoes EVERYWHERE!!!

Get the pasta. Get the Cheese. Grab the vino. It's pasta sauce making time.
Why do they ripen all at once? Why? Today's high was only 104 degrees. Yes, I know, it's a dry heat. Bull!!! Hot is hot! Turned on the A/C. Turned on a fan in the kitchen. Grabbed my basket and went outside and picked a bushel of roma tomatoes, snipped some oregano and rosemary and came back inside. Chopped up the garlic and onions, sauteed them in olive oil with the herbs.... smelling good so far. Dropped the scored tomatoes in boiling water, cooled, peeled and removed the seeds... chopped them up, added sugar, salt, red pepper, thyme, fresh chopped basil, and red vino and started to let it cook for a few hours. Poured myself a glass of cold, white vino and got on the computer. I grew a good crop of tomatoes this year. I have really big ones (tomatoes) for BLT's. The hubby loves BLTA's. The "A" is for avocado. Those tomatoes are lookin' good. I feel like I had a really good day today.
Hang in there, Carla. Love ya girlfriend.
